Achievement overview

The Skin Stapler includes 16 Steam achievements, and the entire set is built around story progression. Every unlock condition comes from completing chapters, reaching key story beats, or interacting with specific objects in the world. Because the game is a single-player action adventure, there are no multiplayer, co-op, or difficulty-based achievements to worry about. The Steam categories also confirm single-player and Family Sharing, so achievements are tracked on your own account.

The majority of achievements pop when you finish a named chapter. The main campaign sends detective Dick Slater and rookie partner Robbie Knox through the districts of Carrion City, and a recurring set of Aftermath chapters follows the major story events. A handful of achievements are reserved for late-game moments, so the full list is effectively unlocked by playing through the entire story once.

Tips for completionists

Because most achievements are tied to linear story progression, a single thorough playthrough is enough to earn the full set. The only real risk is skipping optional interactions in the final stretch of the game. These tips cover the non-chapter achievements and the order of operations that avoids a second run.

• Play the chapters in order. The Aftermath chapters appear after their corresponding story chapters, so let each one resolve and the unlock will follow naturally.
• Fix the tapes when prompted. An achievement is tied to repairing The Skin Stapler Tapes. Treat it as a required story step and interact with it as soon as the game gives you the option.
• Check Dick Slater's office for the "Thank You" note. The final interaction achievement requires examining this note. Look for it near the end of the campaign, before you reach the final cutscene.
• Reach the final cutscene. The last story achievement pops on the ending itself, so push through to the credits for the final unlock.
